Spring steel refers to steel specifically used for manufacturing springs and elastic components due to its elasticity in quenched and tempered states. The elasticity of steel depends on its ability to undergo elastic deformation within a specified range, which allows it to withstand a certain load without permanent deformation after the load is removed.
